Ability to turn off genes in brain crucial for learning, memory

Genes in living cells are constantly being turned on and off. New research shows that the failure of genes in the brain to be turned off appropriately can lead to faulty brain wiring that affects learning and memory, according to a study in mice at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
